Refund Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2025 · Last Updated: October 27, 2026

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to paid Tools.BD API plans (Starter, Growth, Enterprise) purchased through our payment gateway. The free tier of the Tools.BD service involves no payment, so no refund is applicable to free usage.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, provided you have used less than 10% of your plan's monthly API call allowance. Refunds are not available after 14 days from purchase, or once you have used 10% or more of your package limit.

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are generally granted when:

  • You were charged in error or charged more than once for the same plan.
  • The paid API service was materially unavailable or not functioning as described during your subscription period.
  • You cancel a paid plan within 14 days of purchase and have used less than 10% of your included API calls.

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

We are unable to offer refunds in the following situations:

  • Requests made more than 14 days after purchase.
  • You have used 10% or more of your plan's monthly API call allowance.
  • Cancellation of auto-renewal for a billing period that has already started (you will retain access until the period ends).
  • Free-tier usage, since no payment was made.
  • Accounts terminated for breach of our Terms of Service.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email info@tools.bd with:

  • The email address used to purchase the plan.
  • The plan name and date of purchase.
  • A brief reason for the refund request.

We review refund requests within 5 business days and will reply by email.

5. Refund Method and Timing

Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your statement.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel a paid plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again. No prorated refund is issued for the unused portion of a billing period unless eligible under Section 2.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of paid plans after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
