1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Tools.BD ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Zorn Ventures Limited. By accessing or using our website at https://tools.bd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Zorn Ventures Limited. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Using any tool on this site means you accept these Terms. The terms and cookies notice shown across the site says the same thing in plain words: if you use any tool on Tools.BD, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, cookies included — if you do not agree, please do not use our tools. Pressing OK on that notice records your acceptance; clearing your browser's cookies makes the notice (and the request to accept) appear again.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Abuse rate limits — Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with rate-limiting mechanisms (20 requests per minute per IP).
- Automated scraping — Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools to extract data from the Service in bulk, except for standard search engine indexing by recognized bots (Googlebot, Bingbot, etc.).
- Overload the Service — Send an unreasonable volume of requests, use the Service for load testing, or otherwise attempt to degrade or disrupt the Service.
- Illegal activities — Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others, including but not limited to unauthorized network scanning, hacking, or reconnaissance for malicious purposes.
- Reverse engineering — Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, algorithms, or underlying structure of the Service.

- Data harvesting — Collect, harvest, or aggregate personal information of other users.
- Interference — Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
5. Rate Limiting and Fair Usage
To ensure the Service remains available and responsive for all users, we enforce rate limits:
- General limit: 20 requests per minute per IP address for domain scan and lookup tools.
- Search engine bots: Recognized search engine crawlers (Googlebot, Bingbot, Yandexbot, DuckDuckBot, Baiduspider, Applebot, etc.) are exempt from rate limits to ensure proper indexing.
- API access: Public API endpoints are subject to the same rate limits. For higher-volume API access, please contact us.
If you are rate-limited, you will receive an HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Please wait before making additional requests.
6. User Content and Data
6.1 Queries You Submit
When you submit a domain name, ASN, IP address, or prefix for analysis, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that data for the purpose of providing the Service. This includes querying third-party WHOIS, DNS, RDAP, and routing databases on your behalf.
6.2 Public Scans
Domain scans performed without the "Private scan" option are considered public and may be:
- Displayed on our homepage in the "Recent Scans" section
- Included in our XML sitemap for search engine indexing
- Stored in our database for up to 30 days
- Accessible via shareable links (if a share token is generated)
You retain ownership of any data you submit. By making a scan public, you acknowledge that the results will be publicly accessible.
6.3 Private Scans
When you use the "Private scan" option, your scan results are not stored in our database and will not appear in public listings. Private scan results are returned to you immediately and then discarded.
